Sizing up the AFC Championship this Sunday

This much anticipated championship Sunday should bring forth two terrific games back to back. First off, we start with the AFC Championship being played in Denver, in a rematch between the Patriots and Broncos. It should be a back and forth game, with the Broncos being favored by 5.5 points according to Vegas. Both teams will be playing without key criminals in Aaron Hernandez who has a craving for killing people like I have a munchies craving for Taco Bell, and Von Miller who loves him some ecstasy, being suspended six games in the beginning of the year for Molly, and tore his ACL in the second half of the season. Everyone will be looking at Brady Vs Manning XV, Ill take a look at 4 of the unheralded key players for each team .

Patriots-

First, we have to start with LeGarrette Blount, who aside from punching like a girl at Oregon, had a huge game in the Divisional Round against the Colts, rushing for 4 touchdowns and 166 yards in a 48-28 victory. Will Blount have another big game? Highly unlikely, Blount is a journeyman running back who most likely took advantage of a Colts defense that was geared up to stop Tom Brady from throwing the ball against them, and were taken advantage of by a player who is not even the full time starter in New England, as Bill Belichick switches through Running Backs as much as Aaron Hernandez switches through murder weapons. Expect Denver to be all over Blount.

On the defensive side of the ball, look for cornerback Alfonzo Dennard to be an impact player if the Patriots expect to win. Most football fans are aware of Aqib Talib being a shutdown corner, but Aqib can only cover one man, and the Broncos have three prolific recievers, Eric Decker, Demarius Thomas and Wes Welker, and there is only one of Talib. So expect the Broncos to go after whomever Dennard is covering, as they will likely have a favorable matchup on Dennard.

One of the more unrecognized Patriots offensive players is tight end Michael Hoowanamanui, which is a fucking mouthful to say, because Hoowi is only going to be receiving playing time because of Rob Gronkowski is unable to stay healthy, and Aaron Hernandez is unable to go anywhere outside of his 10x15 cell. Hoowi is a very capable run blocker, a big target for Brady, and will also likely be lined up at H-Back in order to get a good opportunity with Hoowi reach blocking a smaller, and weaker outside linebacker. He wont get his name called by Jim Nantz, who will likely be too focused zooming in on his lover Robert Kraft while whispering his name and pleasuring himself during the actual broadcast of the game, but make no mistake, Hoowi is key to the Patriots offense.

Lastly, for the Pats, we have Matthew Slater, who is listed at Wide Receiver, but is the Special Teams captain, along with being a backup safety. It is unlikely Slater will play WR unless there is an injury, but he was named an all-pro gunner, and his job of not allowing the Returner on punts or kicks to get outside will be critical. It may not sound like much, but without Slater doing his job, the Broncos will likely have a chance at a big return.

Broncos-

Lets give a shoutout to the most explosive player in this game, and also the smallest, Trindon Holliday. A renowned speedster at LSU, Houston, and now Denver, he is the Broncos return man, and will be looking for any opportunity to give his team a big special teams boost, because in Playoff games, every play could be the difference between winning and losing.

On the defensive side of the ball for Denver, Wesley Woodyard, the Mike Backer, will be responsible for containing the Patriots rushing attack, as the Broncos D-Line will look to take up Blocks and allow Woodyard to wreak havoc in the backfield, especially when a big back like Blount is lined up across the line, because if he gets a full head of steam, theres no one person that can bring him down on the Broncos defense all alone.

Manny Ramirez, the football player, not the shitty roid abusing waste of air that played baseball, has the most critical job on the Broncos offense in blocking all world Nose Tackle Vince Wilfork, who is being closely studied by scientist to see if he is indeed bigger than Pluto. While Denver will definitely put a double or triple team on Wilfork, if Ramirez is able to at least steer Planet Wilfork to the opposite of the playside gap, it will allow Knowshon Moreno to take advantage of a linebacker corps that just lost Brandon Spikes for the season.

Backup Tight end Joel Dreessen will be on the field quite a bit in the redzone as the Broncos will usually shift into a 2 tightend personnel grouping, and with Julius Thomas being blanketed by Patriots, expect Dreessen to be a target for Manning, who is notorious for throwing a large amount of his passes towards his Tightends.

PREDICTION-

While both teams are extremely talented and have Hall of Fame quarterbacks, the Patriots just don't have nearly as much talent overall as the Broncos, as they have been ravaged by injuries and the Massachusetts State Penal System. Expect the Broncos to go on a late run to put away the Pats.

Final Score: Denver 34, New England 21
